The GSFC LDE Program provides Center organizations with inspection, certification, and recertification of lifting devices and equipment (LDE). Critical and non-critical LDE operators for cranes, training and certification are also provided. This center program improves safety, and minimizes or prevents potential personnel injury or fatality, and damage or loss of hardware and facilities.
The LDE Program can also assist your organization with review and approval of MAP and PIT training programs, provide consultation on LDE design, specification and modification to ensure compliance with NASA and Goddard requirements and reviewable and processing of variance requests. Contact LDE Program management or engineering at your facility for assistance in these areas.
For information on training and certification for critical and non-critical LDE operators, contact the LDE Program manager.
